WHEN: April 1, 2009.

WHERE: Valenzuela City Astrodome.
WHAT: Part of the week-long celebration commemorating the birthday of Mayor Sherwin T. Gatchalian included a day set aside for the city's Special Education (SPED) students. The whole day event that resembled a grand children's party featured inter-school performances, talent presentations, fun games and even gift-giving FOR the said kids. No one - not even the teachers and the accompanying adults - seem to have left the venue without a big smile on their faces! :-)

Along with our hardworking family helper (who helps out with the laundry and ironing), I accompanied her daughter Mildred (who attends the SPED classes at Maysan Public School) upon the latter's request as her personal photographer. I make it a habit of giving the photos commemorating her growth and struggle as a gift in testament for her being an important part of society. Although mildly autistic, Mildred is definitely such a great blessing to her family.
