Tullahan Bridge

After about a decade of talks, the 73-year-old Tullahan Bridge will FINALLY be renovated! Due mainly to visible cracks, rising sea levels and refuse
from other areas in Metro Manila that gets compacted under the now low-lying bridge (... and the mid-term elections coming up this May 14, 2007?
:-) ), there is now a dire need for everyone to finally get their act together. From what I gather it needs to be elevated at least a meter high ...
As a result, traffic (as usual) in this part of the metropolis is pure 'hellacious' https://pbase.com/carinoza/image/77036228 ! >:-(

The last two photos look like something out of "Bridge Over the River Kwai"! The twilight shot is particularly good.

Don't worry, Mr. " :-) ". I was at the Tullahan area just as Typhoon "Egay" roared through the country last August 15, 2007 ... they were already finishing setting up a makeshift 4m x 4m police outpost despite the rains ... and rest assured, I perhaps saw at least 10 policemen manning just one side of the bridge alone!
I heard about this additional predicament experienced by Fatima University students in particular - could it perhaps be due to their irregular shift schedules later at night and/or earlier in the morning? Just curious - where and around what time in general have you experienced/heard these snatching incidents to occur (gotta watch out for that meself, then ...)?

dapat may mga police na naka-assign sa tullahan bridge mismo dahil maraming snatcher at mga adik na nambibiktima ng mga studyante sa Fatima. Bigyan nyo naman ng pansin and mga maagrabyado dahil sa pagawa ng tulay.

The government has to do something with the existing problem due to the construction of tullahan bridge. sobra na ang perwisyo sa mga taga-Fatima.

dapat tanggalin muna lahat ng basura sa tullahan dahil yun yung ngcause ng baha, panu mangyayari pagkatapos ng tulay ganon pa din dahil babaha pa din .
