June 12, 1991: This historic day - in more ways than one - commemorates the Philippines' Independence Day. Being a legal holiday,
the Parish Commission on Media went out for our annually-scheduled summer outing in Bulacan. During the course of the day we
noticed an unusually dense, mushroom-like cloud that had been lingering in the atmosphere for a few days now - except
this time we seemed to be more up-close-and-personal to it.
