"Birthplace of the Katipunan/KKK" Monument

The formation of the revolutionary group named "Kataastaasang Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan" (Supreme and Venerable Society of the Children of the Nation) or Katipunan/KKK for short http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katipunan led by Andrés Bonifacio was established
on the evening of July 7, 1892 at this very spot located at # 72 El Cano cor. Azcarraga Sts. (now Recto Avenue) in Tondo district, Manila.

This secret group was led and initiated by "The Great Plebeian" and hero Andrés Bonifacio which included other patriots such as Deodato Arellano (who was elected as the first Katipunan president), Ladislao Diwa, Valentin Diaz, Jose Dizon, and Teodoro Plata. The dire need for reform from
Spanish colonial injustice brought about the formation of such a group.
