Guild Houses (from left to right):

"Le Renard" - the guild house of the haberdashers. It was built by Van Nerum and Marc De Vos.

"Le Cornet" or the boatmen's house was built in 1698 by Antoine Pastorana.
The architect designed the gable in the shape of a poop to remind us of the house's purpose.

"La Louve" - the guild house of the archers. It is decorated with statues and sculptures
like the four on the 2nd floor which represents truth, untruth, discord and peace.

"Le Sac" was built in 1644 for thr cabinet-makers and the coopers.
The architect Markaert gave the gable the shape of a cupboard to honor the guild.
Above the door, a significant sign: a man holds a bag into which another man drives.

"La Brouette" was erected in 1697 by the tanners's guild. The gable is decorated with garlands of flowers and fruit.
In the niche stands the statue of St. Giles, the patron saint of tanners.

"La Maison des Boulangers" or "Roi d'Espagne" was built by the baker's guild. This was one of the most important and richest in the town.
Above the entrance door is a gilt bust of the Bishop St. Aubert, the patron saint of bakers. In the middle of the 3rd floor, a trophy
frames the bust of Charles II, king of Spain. The house is topped by an octagonal dôme surmounted by a Renomée with banderole.
