This is in a transitional area between pasture and forest, dotted with apple trees of various shapes and sizes.
It is prime Black Bear habitat and they've been quite active here, feeding on the abundant apples and fattening up for winter.
Lots of fresh bear scat everywhere I walked. I had to take care where I stepped.
