Lowbush

The lowbush blueberries are prolific this year. Small in size but big in taste.
These are from an impromptu picking - there are just too many to pass by without harvesting.
The dogs love them too and pick/eat their own fair share.

I'm in Maine. Low bush are the only true blueberries!

Those do look good! So nice against the weathered wood. What I would really like to see is a photo of the dogs with blueberry stains all over their faces.

Yumm! They look similar in size to the mountain blueberries that grow out here - perhaps the same thing.

They look delicious. The white plate really shows off their deep blue color and I like how it's placed on the rustic wood. Wonderful food photo. V.

They sure do look very good, I had some yesterday but the “regular” ones. In my yogurt. Well photographed. V

Blue and white, a perfect colour combination and in this case, delicious. The wild blueberries are the best by far. V

I've never heard of these berries, but they look delicious! Interesting that the dogs like them, too.

Pass the sweet cream, take them outside to see the sunset and enjoy, (in my mind's eye).
