Illinois Central - A Fallen Flag

With the Chicago skyline of the late 1940's in the background, an Illinois Central train, believed to be the "James Whitcomb Riley",
leaves Central Station (12th St. Station), which can be seen in the distance directly behind the train.
Shot from an overpass near 19th Street, you can see the the rails of the IC electrified commuter trains sweeping
under the passenger tracks. Lake Shore Drive and Soldier Field is about a block to the right.
This negative was passed down to me from my Dad, and was taken with a 4x5 Speed Graphic.
