This Killdeer was seen in the Running Deer Natural Area on Prospect Rd. in Fort Collins, CO. and was being quite noisy and trying to get me to leave the area. The bright red eye ring is quite pronounced when the sun hits it just right. This bird looked a little scruffy maybe due to the wind that day.
