March of the Tums (macro by Travis)

As a project for a photography class, I decided to take pictures of TUMS on a pillow case using a 60 watt bulb as my sole light source. Some of the pictures were taken with the Canon macro add-on lens. If you feel the gallery warrents it, click vote. All comments (both positive and critical) are appreciated. Duke, the Tums stood still unless the table shook considerably. The slight cusioning from the pillow case helped to prevent them from rolling. Ray, yeah, the A80 only closes down to f/8. For landscape it is fine, even with an object in the foreground. But for macro, it is hard to get much in focus. Most of these shots are f/8. Interesting note- since I couldn't obtain a deep focus, I tried more overhead shots. Seven of the sixteen are from a bird's eye view, including two of my favourites. -Travis

Whew!.... There's a lot of work there and well done Travis. An interesting experiment. Personally I would have liked a little more DOF showing more items in sharper focus (on some images) but a really nice display.

Michael, thank you for the input. I decided to alter levels and increase the contrast, because it DID look a bit flat. I also cropped it a little lower at the bottom. -Travis

Hey Travis you got my vote, there is one shot that I dont think is shall we say worthy of this fantastic set of shots and it would be the top right shot, the lighting is somewhat dull. this is just my two cents worth. Great work.
