以下是Virginia的先生Donald在她逝世後寫給我們的信.
This is a letter from her husband's,after she pass away.

"It was her wish to keep everything simple.
There will be no viewing & services.
She will be cremated & scattered at sea.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Candor Foundation.
Their mission is to help educate children in the remote & impoverished parts of the world.
Since its inception, they have built many schools & helped thousands of children.

這封信.
讓所有的康德金會的工作人員看了深深動容.

以下是我們的執行長所寫的一段話.
2004年起，我們美國企業的會計師Donald Lam 先生 (華裔香港人)，為向其母親 凌志敏 女士表達孝心， 在凌女士生前及其逝世之後，其家族一直連續5年獨資捐建了8所“志敏希望小學”，
2009年初，Donald Lam 的妻子Virginia亦不幸因病過世，她生前就交待死後要海葬，並要求其家族將喪禮的節約金及親朋的鮮花費用等 都悉數捐贈給本基金會，來繼續支持貧困地區的教育。 喪禮過後，Donald Lam家族果然將55名親友弔唁喪禮的奠儀 約美金7萬7千4百元左右，全數捐出給康德基金會，表示2009年要繼續給中國大陸捐建2所 希望小學。Virginia“ 將小我化成大愛 ”的堅持，以及Donald Lam家族支持Virginia 遺願的決定，感動了所有Virginia生前的好友，也樹立了人間真善美的典範。她的情操，可謂已達菩提蓮花之化境， 我們將會永遠懷念她，也會將她對人間的大愛情懷，透過本基金會繼續發揚光大。
