Alabama Hills

Our return home after five days spent on tour brought us eastward in Kern County, over Walker Pass in the Southern Sierra, thence north into Inyo County to Bishop.
It's mostly a desert landscape and we stopped to look at Joshua Trees. The Alabama Hills are in Owens Valley and have Mt. Whitney as a backdrop. By the time we
arrived there, a major wildfire burning to the west was pushing smoke over into the valley, which killed any photography. Ten images - we didn't explore the interesting rock formations because of the smoke.
