Very happy with the results for a compact travel camera. I wish the M had a software lockout for the touchscreen. I've had settings changed as it bounces around while hiking.

After downloading the latest firmware 2.0.2 Autofukus of the EOS M is much faster and fast enough for most applications. I also like the touch screen to focus! Great value for money and build quality!

The upgraded software works really well and the touch screen to focus and take the shot is very effective. Despite my earlier comment I have no problem using this camera in strong light conditions. When reviewing shots shade from my body is sufficient to see the shot as well. A joy to use.

What is needed is a plastic clip on viewer (just like the old 35mm slide viewers, but larger) for the back of the camera so you can hold it at eye level and have a close up view of the rear LCD. You then get the benefit of the light weight/ small size/quality image.. and an enormous live view image. There are a number of LCD viewing hoods on the net, but a cardboard one can be made I suppose.

I have tryed it, but I dont like it. Why dont Canon make one for EF optic and rotating viewfinder so you can see in sunlight. what you are capturing.
Lens Mount is not Ef but M
