Farne Island from Bamburgh Castle

Standing on the battlement of the castle and the wind was almost blowing me off my feet, yet it looks so calm.
Another of my perfect days in the UK Sep 2014.

I tell you, this stretch of the north east coast has some very fine beaches, but the climate does not encourage many sunseekers! Still, just as well, as it would be too crowded for its natural beauty.
