The ammo can rack is field improvised for .50 cal cans, provision for which was not made when the M8 was designed, it is copied from an original photo. Hope this helps

All armored cars on the trip were M8's. And I also was wearing an infantry piped garrison cap on this trip. Oddly enough, most had armored piping, a few had cav piping, and one or two daring souls had infantry piping.

This is great, a guy crashed out on an armored car deck, pillowed on the stowage, the stencilling on the barrcaks bag is nice but the guy is wearing an infantry hat
