Jonnie, are you going to make me go out find pics with Armored guys sporting these goggles? Crimey! You remember what happened when Tom B. said that 2nd AD Normandy medics didn't paint crosses on their helmets. I had to go find some pics proving that they did. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be as lucky with the goggles (but it was good for a try).

you show me a photo of M44 goggles in ARMY GROUND FORCES USE even in 1945 !! Every time I see these it makes me think of the Falklands not WW2 ( Where's me SLR gone ? )

I've seen this post-war goggles comment a number of times in the Comments section. The style on these goggles is M-1944. As far as I can tell, WWII was still an issue in 1944. Admittedly, most of these goggles were post-war 1960's contract, but with the clear lenses, they should be correct for late war.
