Capitol ST-2553 - The "butcher" cover was designed by the Beatles in protest of Capitol butchering their albums by using only 12 songs of the 14 provided for each album. This artwork was considered quite offensive to a lot of adults in 1965, and complaints resulted in Capitol quickly designing another cover (the Trunk cover) which was pasted over existing butcher covers, and used for the remainder of the production run. While the Butcher is not among the rarest Beatles albums, it is one of the most sought after and therefore hard to find. Released in June, 1966.
