Capitol T-2553 - Capitol pasted this "Trunk" cover over the original "Butcher" cover in response to complaints regarding the gory artwork. Since the original Butcher is quite rare and one of the most sought after Beatles albums, many record dealers and collectors successfully "peeled" off the Trunk cover to reveal the Butcher, and enhance the value of the album. This practice has resulted in greatly reducing the number of "paste over" covers remaining, and they are becomming more rare than the Butcher.
