I wonder if the trees lost to make way for th house increase the flooding risk. It looks beautiful with those mountains

Impressive shot, the mountains rising up to dominate the scene. But I have to think that if the houses had been built in a less flood-prone place to begin with, that ugly channel and the rebuilding wouldn't have been necessary. Land use "planning"?! V
