These are some of the shots I took of the runners during the Humboldt Redwoods Marathon on Oct. 19th 2008. The first location was at the first opening in the canopy after the start of the race. A combination of dim light, slow shutter speed and blazing fast runners made for some blurry pictures, sorry. The second location was from the beginning of the second leg of the race. I was just past the bridge going out towards Bull Creek, much more light. For all you crazy people that really like to punish yourselves, you will probably find pictures of yourselves, as I think I got shots of all the full marathon runners as they went out. What I don’t understand is after running over 13 miles already, so many of you are smiling, I don’t get it. I did get pictures of the first 5 finishers as they came back toward the finish. I hope you enjoy viewing these pictures and I hope you share them with your friends.
