These are the photos of the trip and the rides we did, day by day. We were blessed with good weather most of the time. On the days we were not, we fortunately had the time to wait until early morning showers cleared out. There were some great good times, meeting a lot of new people and challenges as I tried to understand the country, the language, and the culture, and testing my fitness against mountains whose scale left me in awe of how quickly the pros ride them. Make no mistake, the coverage you see on TV, with the camera motorcycles on the same grade as the racers, does not in any way really truly convey the length and steepness of these climbs. |
