Went over to San Diego today. Home late.. Saw this pelican fly by.. got so excited.. just had MY 28-200 lens.. had to crop in.

Great shot at what seems like short notice. These birds are so majestic and I find they are always difficult to catch in flight. Mine usually sit around for hours feeding and preening themselves like thesse guys -http://www.pbase.com/rmlewis/image/77190508
