This was a most magical spot, where the current seemed to bring all the grass and shells and detritus. Such a collection of gulls and other birds there. I found many shells there, crabs, sea urchins, etc. Lots of skate eggs and whelk egg chains. There were cockles and pen shells that were whole: The gulls were fishing them out of the water and picking them clean as I watched. A beachcomber/sheller's/birdwatcher/photographer's heaven...
