Prothonotaria citrea
The Prothonotary Warbler's nickname is 'Golden Swamp Warbler' for its habitat preference of damp shady woods and swamps. 5th Ave/42nd St is not where you'd expect to see one, yet this bird spent several weeks in front of the New York Public Library in the fall of 2010.
