The Anza Borrego Desert, East of San Diego, is a magical environment. With the drought of the past 7 years, there have been very few flowers. In years where there has been good rain during the fall months, the desert floor will usually explode in a riot of color. This winter's record rains have resulted in the desert floor looking as if an artist spilled a truckload of paints.

Cindy and I spent two days last week taking pictures of this wonderful environment. While there, we also had the luck to see a small herd of Borego Bighorn Sheep on a hill top. Luckily, my telephoto lens helped me to zero in. Enjoy.
