Taking off to observe the Quadrantid Meteor Shower

The NASA/SETI team of meteor observers took off this afternoon from the San Jose/Mineta International
Airport. They are flying in this GulfStream V jet northward across the arctic
circle and then returning back for the observations of the flurry of meteors.

According to the updated website they have seen a high rate of meteors as well as a nice Aurora
Borealis. The website is at http://quadrantid.seti.org/
