While the Redwoods are charred, the trees are recovering with a "pipe cleaner" look with lots of fresh greenery growing from the tree trunks.

When the tops recover, the young green will just drop off.

At the just re-opened Big Basin Redwoods State Park, two years after the August 2020 CZU lightning complex fires.
