Cleetwood Cove trail sign - I hiked it in just over an hour, including the time spent at the lake (Read the caption)

My first trip here was over the 4th of July week, 1976. Yes, 44 years ago.
A shipmate, Paul Sagun, and I camped nearby, perhaps in one of the campgrounds along the Rogue.
We visited several locations along the rim, but the one spot I recall the most was this trail.
The surface to the lake was paved then; I found evidence of that pavement on this trip.
While on this hike, I suggested to various "young" folks they needed to return & do this again in 44 years, as I was doing.
I also commented to several folks they were poking along, as I was speeding up that trail at 64 years young.
I did break a bit of a sweat and had to slow... for a picture or three along the way. (good excuse to catch the breath)
Wow.
44 years ago. Where does the time go?
