Containing over 3,500 acres, Bays Mountain Park is the largest city-owned park in the state of Tennessee. Located near Kingsport, Tennessee the park offers a variety of attractions such as a 44-acre lake, a Nature Center with a state-of-the-art Planetarium Theater, Animal Habitats featuring wolves, bobcats, raptors and reptiles, and 38 miles of trails giving photographers a variety of subjects to photograph. If you are a photographer visiting the park for the first time, be sure and check out the beaver pond, which is one of my favorite areas in the park to photograph, and one of the least known about.
