Paul cast his Rapala "Twitchin' Rap" to this big ray, hoping to catch any game fish that might be swimming with it. There was a big explosion and we all thought he had hooked a big fish. Turns out he did, but the fish was a ray, and he hooked it right in the whip tail.

After a substantial battle, Capt. Jim wisely elected to do the unhooking at long distance with the help of his gaff.
