Things look pretty peaceful here. The problems that you can't really tell in these pictures is that the vanity area is too large and goes all the way to the tub. The tub doesn't have a shower, just the lower faucet. And, the wall behind the faucet is set back too far from the tub, so there's nowhere to run tubing for a shower connection. Little fixes did not appear possible. One thing would lead to another, and pretty soon it was an "all or nothing" sort of project.
