Wild or "feral" hogs run loose all over Texas ranches. These guys jumped ship many generations ago and all of the original dominate genetics took over again. They grow longer, harder snouts for rooting around in the dirt, hairy coats, longer and thinner legs for quicker running, and nasty, nasty tusks for fighting. You definitely want to stay out of their way.
