This was an amazing sight. These tankers were approaching each other at a speed of about 15 knots each, and they appeared to be on a direct collision course. They passed so close side-by-side that crewmen on the rails of one ship could just about high-five the guys on the other! I suppose they do this sort of thing all the time, but it is hard to imagine how they do it. I also don't want to be so close to it if I see it again!
