November 25, 2004

I don't travel to NJ for family visits for Thanksgiving. Way too much traffic on I-95 this weekend and I go home in exactly one month for Christmas. So this year my friend Charlene invited me to her friends Carole and David's house. Wonderful hosts. Here is Carole at the bottom of the stairs by the "childrens" table--most of them are in or out of college now, but there wasn't room for them at the "grownup's" table.

Also, to hear the Cathedral Choral Society sing "Ye Shall Have a Song" go to http://www.comeandgrow.org/thanksgiving_webcast.htm And choose your preferred speed. We sing at 42:11, try to drag the "seek" button to about the 42nd minute. I can be seen briefly at 43:20. The quality of the webcast is not high and just doesn't compare to hearing it live. Of course it doesn't sound like I thought it did. To me it's all about my part. ;) Turns out it's mostly about the sopranos! LOL!

I'm glad you got a dinner invite. Sorry about the cheesecake, but I'll try to remember at Christmas. That choral group looked impressive but I know the singing sounds much better live.

Fun shot here to capture what had to be a rich day with a crowd of folks like that. Thanksgiving is not a day to spend alone.
The music, while a bit muddy, was quite moving and I feel like I was there with you. Thanks for sharing that. Maybe we should now require that every Friday is A/V SP Friday and has to be LIVE. ;-)
Warmest best wishes to you Mark.

Great composition with the lines of the stairs and rails leading to your friend. There, I made a comment and didn't mention pumpkins, pies, cheescake or burittos!

We went to mom's with all the kids and had some yummy food. The stuffings were my favorite. Dad's homemade mashed potatoes were delicious, as well as the gravey. Not to make you jealous, but it was good. Than all kinds of cheese cakes for dessert. Hope you had a great thanksgiving dinner.
