September 6, 2004

As per Ray's suggestion. I wanted to do it in my living room with a white background, but the living room is such a mess of stuff and there's barely room for the bike and setting up the back ground. So the color "b&w" with a dash of blue didn't work out. The shoes felt good and maybe transfer a little more power through the pedals.

(Today the gray background of this page has a purplish cast on my monitor. It's just about impossible to "calibrate" it by eye using Adobe Gamma. I don't know how other people do it.)

(Okay, four minutes later, it's back to gray.)

Adobe Gamma - nightmare!!!!!!!! I struggle with that too. I load up a test card and work from there though default on my LCD is not so far off.

Photo - cool and a MEAN look! Plus - the scars have healed nicely!

well Mark it is a step in the right direction but you need to get some serious Knobly tyres under you, nice SP

I see that you use a cross bike, Mark. I just asked the local store to build me one. A Canondale adventure 400 with XT mounted and front dampened fork. I have a raod bike but since roads in Belgium are more off-road quality, I suffer too much of the hits I get in the arms and shoulders.
Good setup. I have no purplish tone in there, the background is dark to clear yellow tint of the lamp light. The darker field in bottom left has a very slight pink tone in it, but not noticeable at all.

Tee Hee, I really visualised an action shot on the road or at least outside! Why not set a tripod up for a long exposure as you cycle past? AJ's right; you do look SERIOUS!
