Sounds like a relaxing day! Are you completely recovered from your bike fall?

There is few things as wonderful as curling up with a warm blanket and a good read.

John, the 60th Anniversary is what got me to check out this book. It's a very fast read, jypsee. The big picture and then lots of stories to illustrate various experiences and problems different units and individuals encountered. Just a "student of history." I majored in International Affairs and later studied U.S. foreign policy. Some history in all of that. Jeanne made the afghan.

Very nice photo, Mark ... I'd like to be doing that, too! The afgan adds to the overall comfiness of the image! Great idea!

Abmrose's coverage of D Day is excellent. Are you a historian or just a student of history? (My degrees are in American History, but I haven't taught it for over 40 years but still love reading about it, especially World War II). Seehttp://www.improve.org/dday/ddaytour.htm for the trip I got to make touring the D Day battlefields.

...wish I could read that fast...

Very topical currently Mark. We've had stories on the radio this week (I listen whilst the cows milk) from Vets. who were there on D-Day. Some remarkable stories?

A great way to spend the day
