Busy day. First thing was a dress rehearsal which ran late, 9:15am-12:15. Then I went looking at DSLRs, again. I thought I might treat myself to a DSLR for my birthday. Hell, nobody else is going to buy me one of those. DPReview's review of the D70 had me thinking it would suffice for a fun but well-featured DSLR until something I really like comes along. I'm really tiring of the Cool Pix's limitations. I did get my head in the other shots, but always out of focus. Angela and Jeanne and CJ and everyone else with really good self-portraits, you guys are amazing. I can't get the damn thing to even focus on me. I gave up trying. This is after the concert, which went well enough.

Penn Camera was out of stock on the D70 but they had a demo model and I played with it for a good long time and compared it to the S2 and D100 and Olympus E-1. And severely tested the salesman's knowledge of many of the features on these cameras.
