"The Pavarotti Edition"

10 CDs plus this little "original album" of Luciano Pavarotti singing quite a lot of the popular tenor repertoire. He's not my favorite tenor. I prefer Richard Tucker and Fritz Wunderlich and Carlo Bergonzi and Jussi Björling. Ah, well I like the sound of a lot of other tenors more than Pavarotti, but this 10 disc set was on sale and as an easy way to hear so much of the typical tenor repertoire sung well, it was worth buying. The CD club charged me the full retail price, but yesterday while complaining about that on the phone to them, they changed it and now I have a hefty credit. No refund of course.

Despair not Chris, a very large version can be found HERE. ;) Enjoy.

I like the vibrancy of this - like you're bringing opera to life?
My dad will despair at these words from my mouth, but I have no idea what you're talking about!! I have heard of the big man, but beyond that, I'm afraid I'm lost! I like listening to opera every now and then, mind you!

Great layout and colors!

I like this tremendously, but then I like opera just as much. I wish I knew someone else who liked opera. This is a great photo.

I've never seen the young Pavarotti before! I thought he always looked the way he does now : )

ooo, I like the little "vinyl" CD case

nope. cheap seats are $30. But you're sitting across the river in Jersey for that price.

Thanks all. The colors are one reason I chose to shoot this collection. I'm sorry to report that the "record" just looks like one. It's a CD. I liked the contrast it created and the "album cover" created a focal point.

This "record" was his first commercial release, about 40 or so years ago! He's really going to sing this time? :) $195? Must be the cheap seats!

He looks so young! Love Pavarotti! Think I shall insert a cd today.

Very colorful image.

Great idea Mark. Great mix. Good positioning. To think he was that young once. He's playing in Tosca at the Met. Tickets are going for $195 EACH. Yikes. Anyway, great photo.

Very lively and colorful! And a real record... that sort of makes the pic for me.

Yes a very colourful shot and the vinyl record breaks it up so well both in terms of shape and of era. I've never seen a photo of Pavarotti looking like that!

Sounds like you're going to have many hours of fun ahead of you! ;) - some colorful CD's BTW - could almost hang them on the wall for decor!
