Bike Ride on the Fourth of July

view map

Leaving Gros Ventre Campground. I left for my ride later than I wanted to and the had the cloudiest day of the week. I thought it might rain. I misjudged the distance around the park and also went a bit further for water and food refills for a total of about 75 miles. Mostly flat to barely what I would call rolling, but there was a bit of uphill and downhill. It seemed to be slightly uphill to Colter Bay where I refueled at the gas station/store. Unfortunately the wind was out of the south by the time I was headed back and it was pretty stiff--10-15 mph. My average speed was 16.5mph, max was only 32mph. (Geotag is approximate.)
