Llano Del Rio

Established in 1914 by Job Harriman, an Indiana native this
was a vast socialist colony. The colony was self-sustaining
by 1916. However, utopia was disrupted in 1917 due to the
diversion of water, a precious commodity by an earthquake.
The colony relocated to New Llano, Louisiana.
