Nice collection Liz, I was there for the first time March this year and was entranced...a photographer's dream.

I was south of the Platte around the first of April also. I have a small gallery of crane photos too. Interesting birds and much more difficult to photograph than you would think. I think the time to be there is mid March if it isn't blowing snow in your face.
