Bird's Eye Speedwell is a small, sky-blue wildflower with dark stripes and a white center. It typically forms a dense, prostrate groundcover with weak, reddish, hairy stems that often grow upright at the tips.
The flowers are one-third to one centimeter in diameter. The above flower was about 1/8 inch. Bird's Eye Speedwell produces heart-shaped fruits divided into two lobes, each containing 5–10 small, slightly hairy seeds. This allows the plant to reproduce prolifically in disturbed soils.

Shooting conditions today: very overcast with rain coming.
Thus, an almost painterly looking image.
