Zinnas - blooming outdoors on this date in Kansas City after 3 Frosts and 2 different prolonged killing Freezes - is not normal. The news weather reporter this evening said that all tender vegetations outdoors has been long gone for the season. Yet I photographed this Zinnia and Petunias and Calibrachoa on my back deck this afternoon. They're all very real and still here. FYI, this flower is just starting to open. It doesn't know that it shouldn't still be alive outdoors.
