Time to Say Goodbye 6-09-25

I think...

These concrete garden statues have served us well for over 30 years. They greeted guests to our front porch. Three generations of groundhog babies have also played on them during the past 5 years. The groundhogs particularly had some kind of odd relationship with the squirrel on the right. They refused to let him stay standing.

But time has taken its toll, and the features have faded. Some say I should keep these aged sculptures because they look historic & the "reclaimed look" is big in garden fashion these days. But I don't know. "Reclaimed" went with the look of our courtyard back in May https://pbase.com/britestar/image/175479343 - but not so much now.

I know the feeling of tossing out items like this. Some things are hard to say good bye to...
