Like We're STILL Doing...

This marks one of the 7 new trees that we had hoped to add to the East of our driveway and house. The landscape designer, we hired, couldn't seem to do a good layout on paper. So, we went out into the yard ourselves, measured things off, and put in our own stakes.

Her boss then supposedly took over her job and promised that the trees would be put in before December 1st. After a single in-person meeting with him, that was the end of things. To date (almost Christmas now), he now doesn't answer my emails or my husband's phone calls. Excuse: The Holidays, from before Thanksgiving on... We'll start trying to make contact again after the New Year.

Right now, all we have are some sticks in the ground that we had to place ourselves. Obviously, no Fall planting (as promised) has happened. As for the Spring, at this point, nothing is moving forward. At the rate things are going, the stakes may also not be there either in the Spring. They weren't placed to last the Winter.

March will mark the one-year anniversary of when this project was first started. We had hoped for planting last Spring. But then, after we signed a contract & prepaid this company, we were told that planting in early Fall would be best. September came and went. Then, October and November. And now, here we are with just a stake in the yard and nothing else.

This will be the last photo of the 2024 landscape saga. But the gallery may go on into 2025 if the landscaping company suddenly wakes up and gets back on the job.
