Gotta Love Wayfair.
**********
The drains came yesterday, and the brass looks great with the Aspen Green of the new kitchen sinks.
I really like the color that is on a softer "mint" green side.
It's a "retro" color brought back to life by Kohler in 2024 and promises to be a classic going forward and not just the latest fad in colors.
The green Heritage Colors debuted within Kohler's booth at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. This display of bold kitchen and bath products, accompanied by vintage advertising, and lush plants was a highlight of Kohler's immersive booth experience that earned the 2024 KBIS Best of Show honor.
For a subtle green shade, Kohler now offers the "new" Aspen Green color, which was originally from 1978. It can perform as either an accent or as a neutral color, Kohler said, and “reflects the soft, crisp nature of silver-green mountain pines glistening in the morning sun.”
Although I generally prefer warm colors in a kitchen, this will be perfect for our 2024 remodel. I love this cool color with the cherry and hickory woods. There is just enough color to be an accent, but it's also so delicate that it works as a neutral, too. For me, it's the best of both worlds.

As for the Sinks:
"The Kohler Iron/Tones sink exudes class and timeless elegance. Its enameled cast iron construction and glossy, smooth finish give it a refined and sophisticated look. It fits beautifully in both traditional and modern kitchens, adding a touch of luxury with its clean lines and quality craftsmanship. This sink combines style and durability, making it a distinguished choice."

"The Kohler Iron/Tones kitchen sink offers several benefits:
Cast iron has always been my choice for a kitchen sink. We originally had a stainless steel sink in our first home, but I never cared for it. We currently have a stainless steel sink along with the cabinets downstairs, but that was put in to accommodate dog bathing and not much else. In addition to Chihuahuas, we once bred and had Pugs as show dogs. A twenty-pound pug requires a deeper sink than a 5-pound Chihuahua. 😉 Although it no longer gets a lot of use, our secondary stainless steel sink fit that need. Anyhow, there are a lot of reasons, I prefer cast iron sinks.
Durability: Made from enameled cast iron, it resists chipping, cracking, and burning. It’s built to last and withstand the daily demands of a busy kitchen.
Versatility: Available in both top-mount and undermount styles, and different configurations, allowing you to choose what best fits your kitchen's design and your needs.
Aesthetics: Its sleek design and glossy finish add a touch of elegance to your kitchen. The white color provides a classic look that complements a wide range of kitchen styles.
Easy Maintenance: The smooth surface is easy to clean and resists staining, keeping your kitchen looking pristine.
Quiet: Cast iron absorbs sound, so it’s quieter when washing dishes compared to stainless steel sinks.
This sink combines style, durability, and functionality."
