Although many areas of the Metro had bigger-than-baseball, 3½ inch (some even larger!!!) hail stones, we were fortunate. The largest hail that we saw at our house was "only" ping ball sized. Most was in the 1-1½ inch range. The above Cell Phone Cam shot was taken in the dark "in-between" severe thunderstorm waves and just before the biggest hail hit.

I HATE the severe storms that this time of year brings to Heart of America. Although there were no tornados to touch downs within the Metro, KC and its surrounding communities were under the first Tornado Watch of the season.
