Clivia Flower 9-05-23

I've had this house plant since I was a newlywed.

It's dates back to the 80's. But this is only the third time in all those years that it has bloomed.
The first time it flowered was when I got the plant. The second time was just before we moved from Back East. And now, at long last, this is the third time.

They like shady dappled light and cooler growing conditions but that's as much as I know....it's pretty though.

A beautiful bloom, nicely captured. You must have lots of patience to wait some 15 years between blooms.
