When I looked out the kitchen window, I saw a herd of deer in the backyard. There were about two dozen. But by the time that I found a camera and got outside, these were the last 6 who were following the others "somewhere". I'm guessing that they were all coming from the neighbors' yard where they get fed. However, I've never before seen so many together in our yard at one time. Because deer can carry disease, I would prefer not to have a herd in our yard. However, each year, the numbers seem to grow.
