Once again, it's the story, not the actual photography, that counts.

Normally, the outgoing president would provide his successor with a US military plane for this trip, but #45 has been anything but "normal". Biden had to hire a private plane for the short trip from Delaware. Tomorrow we will have a new President. Maybe then, normality will have a chance to start to return.

The first order of business for Joe Biden was to immediately go straight to a heartfelt ceremony at the Liberty Memorial Reflecting Pool. That ceremony honored the lives of those Americans lost to COVID. Biden's primary concern, as the soon-to-be leader of our nation, was about "others"; not about himself.

With caring leadership like this, perhaps our nation still does have a chance... We can at least hope.
